چکیده
Abstract Juniperus excelsa s. str. (Greek juniper) in Crimea is a relic species on the limits of its range, and represents Mediterranean flora Sub-Mediterranean part peninsula. Its origin history this area remains unresolved. We aimed to analyze phylogeny potential demographic expansion juniper as well study morphological differentiation. analyzed plant material from 59 trees inhabiting eight populations. Genetic variation assessments were based four non-coding chloroplast DNA (cpDNA) fragments nuclear internal transcribed spacer region ITS1-5,8S-ITS2 (ITS). To examine differentiation, measured/counted traits cones, seeds, shoots chosen ratios calculated. Morphological parameters compared using ANOVA, Student’s t test, discrimination analysis Kruskal-Wallis U Mann-Whitney tests. Two cpDNA polymorphic and, total, 10 haplotypes found. Haplotype diversity (H d ) ranged 0.0 0.9. Based both ITS sequences variation, phylogenetic analyses revealed close relationship Crimean junipers individuals other parts range. In general, our molecular results confirmed low level genetic differentiation J. different likely resulting common ancestry. Only slight differences found between populations with geographic location or habitat. The analyzes showed distinctness southern coast. Some unique features coastal imply that they are remnants Late Pleistocene abundant forests. suggest recent fragmentation Peninsula could have arisen during Atlantic period Holocene.

15 صفحه اولEvaluation of Genetic Diversity in Iranian Violet (Viola spp) Populations Using Morphological and RAPD Molecular Markers
Recognition of genetic reserves and desirable genes is the basis of breeding programs. So far, in Iran, due to the lack of recognition of genetic resources, a considerable breeding program has not been done on native plants. The study of the genetic diversity of violets as a native plant with ornamental and medicinal uses is the great importance in advancing the breeding goals of this plant. So...

in current study, 63 samples of bat populations collected from differ regions were used for evaluating the geographic variations. twenty cranial and dental characters for traditional morphometric and landmarks method on the ventral, dorsal skull and mandible for geometry morphometric studies were used. statistical analyses of traditional morphometric and geometry morphometric data indicated low...
Study of genetic diversities and relatedness of Iranian citrus genotypes using morphological and molecular markers
Having knowledge about genetic relationships among accessions is necessary for developing breeding strategies to produce improved cultivars. In present study, genetic diversity and inter-relationship among 29 genotypes of citrus were comparatively analyzed using morphological and RAPD markers. Significant variability was observed among citrus genotypes for 61 quantitative and qualitative morpho...
متن کاملPhylogenetic relationships and species concepts in Parmelia s. str. (Parmeliaceae) inferred from nuclear ITS rDNA and -tubulin sequences
The phylogenetic relationships of 16 species of Parmelia s. str. are presented based on sequences of nuITS rDNA from 56 specimens, and -tubulin gene sequences from 29 collections. Parmelia serrana sp. nov. a Mediterranean species morphologically very close to P. saxatilis is described. Parmelia ernstiae is the sister-group to P. saxatilis s. str., and a further undescribed North American specie...
